To compete in the large screen LCD TV market Samsung have released the Samsung LN32B360 32 Inch LCD TV. The TV comes as HD ready and boasts an impressive 720p resolution playback function. The system comes with all the usual connectivity along with two HDMI connections allowing for multiple devices to be connected. A high contrast ratio of 30,000:1 allows for clear pictures to be displayed whilst the 6ms response time means the images are displayed smoother. To compliment the video, Samsung have included SRS' virtual surround sound software which provides virtual surround sound through just the two speakers on the TV.

The Samsung outputs HD quality pictures when required and contains a resolution of 1024x768 meaning that no digital image to date cannot be displayed, whilst the color enhancer takes care of the vibrancy of the picture.

Alongside the high-resolution the TV as mentioned has a contrast ratio of 30,000:1 which means that the brightness of the screen can be greatly adjusted allowing for easier viewing of the TV whilst the level of contrast is also increased to allow for a clearer crisper picture. The main benefit is observable whilst watching images with a lot of dark patches or a lot of bright patches the TV is able to clearly distinguish between the different colors no matter how similar they are.

Wide color Enhancer II is Samsung's very own picture processing unit. The unit increases the saturation available within the picture whilst also increasing the amount of color within the picture. The result of which is an image whose picture is clearer and contains more depth than similar TVs.

With the built-in game mode the Samsung TV is capable of adjusting the settings of the picture to suit that of a video game, increasing the brightness and contrast to ensure that the game is clear and defined giving you that extra edge against any online competitors.

Samsung have used SRS' TruSurround technology which is able to produce a virtual surround sound environment from the use of just two speakers. The two speakers themselves are 3W one-way speakers and whilst being low voltage product sound to a very high standard.

The response time of the pixels within any TV is crucial to the playback of frames and in particular the smoothness with which fast paced scenes are viewed. This TV has kept pace with the leading TVs in producing a TV whose response time is a mere 6ms. This time is calculated using a single pixel, it is the time for this pixel to change from being completely white to completely black and then back to completely white again.

A great feature of this TV is the compatibility available with a PC. The TV is able to transform seamlessly into a monitor at will, and whilst some other TV's are capable of this they are unable to do it with such ease whilst maintaining the same output quality that they display for normal TV operation.

The Samsung LN32B360 32 inch LCD TV represents an excellent venture by Samsung in the large TV market. The TV has soon impressive features and provides an excellent picture that is rich in color and detail. The price of the TV is also somewhat surprising as it only costs around a mere $500 which is pretty reasonable for a TV of such quality and produced by a manufacturer of the standard of Samsung.
